BRAC USA is recruiting an Individual Philanthropy Intern to support its donor engagement and fundraising operations in New York. The role sits inside BRAC’s Individual Philanthropy team and offers a working view of how a major development organization converts donor relationships into sustained funding—relevant grounding for anyone tracking how philanthropic and development capital is raised and stewarded, not just deployed.
The Role
Position Individual Philanthropy Intern – BRAC USA
Location New York, USA (Hybrid — minimum one day per week in the NYC office)
Compensation: US$17.00 per hour, part-time, up to 15 hours per week
Duration: Approximately 15 weeks, expected to start late September or early October 2026, with a flexible start date
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Individual Philanthropy team with donor engagement and stewardship
- Assist with Salesforce database management — data entry, updates, reporting
- Draft and proofread gift acknowledgment letters and thank-you correspondence
- Conduct prospect research
- Support fundraising campaigns, communications and event coordination
- Provide general administrative support to the philanthropy team
Ideal Candidate
- Students, recent graduates or early-career professionals
- Strong interest in nonprofit fundraising, philanthropy or international development
- Excellent writing, research and organisational skills
- Experience with Salesforce is an advantage but not required
- Able to work independently in a hybrid setting
